The third episode of my series where I make vegan Thanksgiving recipes. Easy and delicious dessert.
Recipe for 25 small tarts
This is what you need:
1 pack of puff pastry / 6 pieces of puff pastry (butterdeig på norsk)
2,5 big apples
150 grams vegan butter
150 grams brown sugar
3 tablespoons of cinnamon
caramel sauce
1 tablespoons sugar and 1/4 tablespoon cinnamon
This is what you do:
Mix together vegan butter, brown sugar and cinnamon.
Take out the puff pastry from the freezer and lay it out on the bench. Wait 10 minutes to it softens. I used a glass to cut out circles of the puff pastry or you could just use a knife and cut it into squares. Press the rest of the dough together to cut of the rest of the pastry.
Preheat the oven to 200 Celcius.
Spread out the cinnamon butter on the puff pastry.
Cut up the apples into thin slices. Put them on the puff pastries. See the video under for how I do it. Mix together 1 tablespoon sugar and 1/4 tablespoon cinnamon, then sprinkle it on top of the puff pastries. Put the in the middle of the oven in 20 minutes.
When you take them out of the oven and let them cool, pour over some caramel sauce. Eat and enjoy!
